about me

I was born in Avilés at the beginning of the 80s, and once I finished my basic studies, I was clear about what my passion was, the world of the image in all its variants.

After doing advertising and printing, I immersed myself in the world of photography. For more than 12 years, I have my studio in Gijón, where I do photographic works, as well as video productions, such as television commercials, music videos, industrials and reports.

After many years dedicated to this profession, the year 2017 gave me some of my dreams … I received the Goya Photography Prize in Graphic Category / Documentary with a photograph that reflects one of my great hobbies, Paddle Surf. I have also received the Granada Lights Award in the Portrait Category, with an image of Barakat, a girl from Ghana. During this year, I had the opportunity to meet several countries including Gambia, a sub-Saharan African country, which also offered me professional growth, personal growth by filming the documentary «Gambia with the eyes of a woman» project. the NGO Asturies x Africa.

Traveling has led me to dedicate myself lately to stock photography, working for a global distribution agency.

On this website I have gathered some of the most recent work I have done, so I welcome you, and I hope you enjoy them.
